Hardwood refinishing is a transformative process that brings new life to your floors. Our dust-minimized sanding prepares your hardwood for a fresh start, removing scratches, wear, and old finishes. We apply a 2-3 coat finishing process, ensuring durability and a rich, lasting sheen. Once sanded, your hardwood will appear lighter, as oxidation and patina from years of exposure are removed.
For the finish, we highly recommend a Matte or Satin sheen—these finishes offer a beautiful look while hiding imperfections better than high-gloss finishes. While Gloss or High Gloss may look striking, they highlight every minor scratch and dust particle, making maintenance more challenging.
Want to change the color of your hardwood? Our staining process allows you to customize the look of your floors with Duraseal and other premium stain products. Certain woods—such as White Oak, Red Oak, and Hickory—stain exceptionally well. For species like Maple and Birch, we use a specialized water-popping technique to reduce uneven absorption and achieve a more uniform stain. Whether you want a contemporary gray, a rich walnut, or a something in-between, we ensure a beautiful, custom stain that enhances your home’s aesthetic.
Hardwood refinishing used to mean clouds of dust settling in every corner of your home. While the industry calls it a Dustless System, we prefer to call it a “Less Dust” System—because although our advanced equipment minimizes airborne dust, no refinishing process or home construction process is 100% dust-free. Our team takes every precaution to minimize and reduce dust, using high-powered vacuums and careful cleaning techniques to make the process as clean and hassle-free as possible.
Yes! We specialize in existing hardwood additions & hardwood extensions, carefully matching new planks to your existing flooring with hardwood lacing process before sanding and finishing for a uniform look.
Sometimes! It depends on the thickness of the veneer layer. Thin veneers may not be sandable, but we can inspect your floors on-site to determine if refinishing is an option.
With proper care, a professionally refinished hardwood floor can last 7-10 years before needing another refinishing. High-traffic areas may need touch-ups sooner.
Refinishing involves sanding down to bare wood and applying new stain and finish—ideal for floors with deep scratches, wear, or color changes. A maintenance coat simply adds a new layer of finish over the existing one to refresh the floor’s sheen and provide additional protection.
This is one time you do not need to come in first. We will need to identify your existing hardwood onsite, along with your hardwood width, grade of wood, and specie. We offer on-site consultations to inspect your floors, discuss stain options, and provide a detailed line itemized quote.
